Ada County Courthouse dog, Yuko, sworn in to help crime victims
BOISE, Idaho (CBS 2) — The Ada County Prosecutor's Office Courthouse dog, Yuko, was officially introduced to the Ada County Commissioners after he was sworn in and received his badge.
Yuko's predecessor, Sunday, put in over 16,500 working hours serving vulnerable victims and witnesses of crime in Ada County from 2010-2018.
Yuko, a Labrador Retriever, received his training and certification as an assistance dog from Canine Companions for Independence in Santa Rosa, California and was provided free of charge to the Ada County Prosecutor’s Office. Yuko is the new Ada County Prosecutor's Office Courthouse dog.
