Body of missing 7-year-old Tennessee girl with autism found in lake
DANDRIDGE, Tenn. (WTVC) — The body of a 7-year-old Tennessee girl with autism was found Thursday at the bottom of a lake near home not even an hour after an Amber Alert was issued.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) sent a statewide AMBER Alert a little before 10:30 a.m.
Serenity Alanna Marie Kinsey was last seen at her home along Indian Creek Road in Dandridge at about 1 a.m.
Dandridge is near Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
"We have a heartbreaking update on the search for Serenity Kinsey. A dive team located her body in the lake near her home a short time ago. Our hearts go out to her family during this difficult time," the TBI wrote on X.
