Six incidents reported at LDS church on Boise Bench since May
BOISE, Idaho (CBS 2) — An LDS church on the Boise Bench was vandalized last weekend, making it the sixth time since May,
A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints says the LDS church he attends in Boise was vandalized. Pictures show broken windows and words written on whiteboards.
They believe it happened Friday night or early Saturday morning.
Ada County Dispatch confirms that a burglary report has been filed for the LDS church on Cherry Lane, off of Vista Avenue.
This isn't the first time the church has been vandalized, according to the church member.
Boise Police say there have been five other incidents at the church since May:
- 7/21 Vandalism report. An unknown suspect attempted to start a fire in the bathroom. No damage was done.
- 7/10 Graffiti report. An unknown suspect used a yellow marker to tag or vandalize an outside wall.
- 7/6 Graffiti report. An unknown suspect used paint to write on the roof of the building.
- 6/1 Burglary report. An unknown suspect broke a glass door and gained entry into the building.
- 5/15 Vandalism report. An unknown suspect damaged an outer windowpane of the building.
