West Ada school board appoints Dr. Derek Bub as new superintendent
BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The West Ada School District has appointed a new superintendent.
The board announced Dr. Derek Bub as their pick during Tuesday's meeting.
"I found Dr. Bub to be a transformational leader, with a proven history of collaboration and achieving results and for those reasons, I'll be supporting that motion this evening," said Rusty Coffelt, board trustee.
Dr. Bub comes from Centennial High School, where he has served as principal since 2019.
Bub will start his term as superintendent on July 1.
The current superintendent, Dr. Mary Ann Ranells will continue to serve the district through June 30.
